Potting tables can often be mistaken with potting benches. The significant difference of the two however is more on their working surface. Potting tables put emphasize on their surfaces while potting benches are more on shelves and hooks for keeping gardening tools. But by all means, both are useful and make gardening productive and enjoyable.
In choosing a potting table for your own, you have to start by simply using common sense. Consider first you area (or garden for that matter) and your resources. A potting table can only waste space if you only have a tiny garden. Be sure that you have an extra space for it or else you’ll end up complaining of overcrowding. Resources should also be a priority. If you cannot afford those which are sold in the market, better make your own. You need not be a professional carpenter to make one. But if you have that needed money and space, help yourself in a furniture shop. Quality, as always, should be considered first. Ask and observe. Do not be fooled by shiny tops and creative designs. Sometimes, overly designed potting tables can contribute to their weakness. It is better to stick that quality thing. Just remember though, even if you made the perfect choice, it could really be that perfect if you will not take effort on keeping it as it is.
